Omaha, Nebraska, United States, September 2025 – Axos Financial has appointed Barbara Mueksch as Vice President Senior Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, she will serve as a strategic HR partner to senior business leaders in the Securities division, which manages $37B in assets under custody. Her focus will be on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and enhancing employee engagement across the division.
Most recently, Barbara served as AVP, Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Axos Financial, where she partnered with senior leadership in the Securities division, helping to oversee HR strategy, engagement, and performance improvements for offices in Centennial, CO and Omaha, NE.
Prior to that, she was Human Resources Director at CFO Systems, LLC, where she provided fractional and interim HR leadership for diverse industries including government, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, financial services, and technology. Her role emphasized strategic HR guidance, compliance, and leadership coaching.
Before that, Barbara gained entrepreneurial experience working in fractional HR leadership and consulting roles, where she supported organizations with executive coaching, HR audits, compliance, and strategic talent initiatives.
She also held senior HR leadership roles at Walmart, serving as Strategic HR Business Partner for Omnichannel Merchandising and earlier as HR Site Leader and Strategic HR Business Partner for Hayneedle. In these roles, she partnered with executive leadership on organizational design, succession planning, talent management, and leadership development initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Barbara held HR leadership positions with WellCare Health Plans, Lincoln Financial Group, Coventry Health Care, Nebraska Methodist Health System, and Mutual of Omaha, where she spent over 15 years in a range of HR, consulting, and leadership roles. Across these positions, she built deep expertise in organizational effectiveness, change management, compensation, and employee relations.
