Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2024 – Amit Patil has joined RBL Bank as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this role, he will oversee the bank’s cybersecurity framework, risk management processes, and compliance strategies. Amit brings extensive expertise in leadership, data security, third-party risk management, and regulatory compliance, making him a pivotal figure in strengthening the bank’s cyber defenses and driving its security initiatives.
Before joining RBL Bank, Amit Patil served as Head – Information Security Risk and Compliance at Syngene International Limited, where he led cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, regulatory audits, and cloud security strategies for nearly one and a half years.
Previously, he spent almost eight years at IDFC FIRST Bank in multiple senior roles, including Senior Vice President & Head – Threat Management and Vice President – Threat Intelligence and Hunting. His tenure included leadership in governance, risk, and compliance, driving robust cybersecurity frameworks and leading critical threat intelligence operations.

Amit also worked at Magma Fincorp Ltd. as General Manager, where he managed information security compliance and enterprise mobility management, and at DBS Bank as an Associate, handling self-service banking security and PCI-DSS compliance.
Earlier in his career, Amit gained significant experience at HDFC Bank as Senior Manager, where he managed SOC teams and vendor risk assessments, and at organizations like WNS Global Services, ABN AMRO, and Deutsche Bank, contributing to application security, forensics, and IT risk management.
