London, United Kingdom, December 2025 — Barbara van der Heijden has started a new position as Group Head of Leadership Talent at Capgemini. In this role, she will help shape the organisation’s global leadership and executive talent agenda, strengthening enterprise capabilities across a diverse and fast-evolving business landscape.
Before stepping into this role, Barbara van der Heijden served as Vice President, Executive Talent at Capgemini for around three and a half years, based in London. Her work focused on executive coaching, succession planning, executive development, and long-term leadership capability building.
Earlier, she served as Global Talent Director at Capgemini Invent for close to three and a half years, following senior roles that deepened her expertise in leadership and executive education. Her experience reflects a sustained commitment to building high-impact leadership pipelines across consulting and enterprise environments.
Over the years, she has also held roles such as Director Leadership and Executive Education, Principal Employee Transformation, and Director People and Change within the broader Capgemini ecosystem across multiple geographies. These assignments strengthened her perspective on large-scale HR transformation, organisational change, talent strategy, and business-aligned people leadership.
In the earlier phase of her career, she worked with Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services and Start People (Randstad, Netherlands), building a strong foundation in assessment, selection, and career development practices that continue to inform her leadership approach today.
Barbara van der Heijden holds a Master’s in Organisational Psychology from the Universiteit van Amsterdam.
