Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, April 2026 – Hays has announced the appointment of Karen E. Rice as Chief People Officer – Americas, strengthening its leadership team as the organization continues to advance its people strategy across the region. In this role, Karen will lead talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness initiatives, supporting Hays’ mission of empowering people and businesses to succeed.
Prior to joining Hays, Karen E. Rice most recently served as Chief People Officer at Fusable, where she built and led the HR function in a high-growth, post-divestiture environment, partnering closely with the CEO and Board on enterprise readiness, leadership transitions, and HR infrastructure development.
Earlier, she worked with ZRG as an Interim CHRO/CPO and HR Consultant, where she was engaged in designing workforce strategies for private equity-backed organizations, including global workforce planning, talent management transformation, and cost optimization initiatives.
Before this, Karen served as Chief Human Resources Officer at CompuCom, where she led HR transformation under private equity ownership, restructured HR operating models, and partnered with leadership through a business sale process, delivering both cultural and financial impact.
She also held a senior leadership role as Vice President – Human Resources at AmerisourceBergen, where she aligned people strategies with large-scale business objectives, driving change management, leadership development, and organizational design.
Karen spent over 17 years at Accenture, where she held multiple leadership roles across global HR business partnering, shared services, reporting, and analytics. During this time, she worked closely with global leadership teams, driving talent strategy, workforce planning, and large-scale HR transformation initiatives across multiple geographies.
