Crawley, England, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Barbara Vickerman has joined Acron Aviation as the new Head of Talent Management, where she will be leading the company’s global talent strategies, focusing on capability building, leadership development, and performance alignment to support the organization’s continued growth in the aviation sector.
Before joining Acron Aviation, Barbara Vickerman served for over eight years at L3Harris Technologies, most recently as Regional Vice President of Human Resources, UK/EMEA within their Commercial Aviation Solutions division. In this role, she was instrumental in shaping regional HR strategies, driving leadership capability development, and enhancing employee engagement across multiple geographies.
Prior to that, she held the position of Group Human Resources Director & Ethics Officer at L3Harris, where she oversaw ethics and compliance in addition to leading HR initiatives. Her earlier years at L-3 Communications saw her serve as Human Resources Director & Ethics Officer EMEAI, establishing a strong reputation for building scalable HR frameworks and instilling ethical leadership practices.
She also brings rich experience from the hospitality industry, having worked at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) for several years. At IHG, she held a range of senior HR roles, including Director of Training & Development – Talent Management EMEA, where she led multiple pan-regional leadership development programs and talent initiatives across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Barbara began her career with IHG as an HR Manager at Crowne Plaza properties, steadily progressing through roles of increasing responsibility over a 16-year tenure, where she laid a strong foundation in operational HR, employee relations, and talent training at the unit and regional levels.
