Oxfordshire, England, August 2024 – Ben Howells has taken on the role of Chief People Officer at Dalcour Maclaren. In his new position, Ben will lead the human resources strategy, driving innovation in talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement to support Dalcour Maclaren’s mission of redefining land and the environment through utilities and infrastructure.
Ben Howells brings a wealth of experience to Dalcour Maclaren, having founded Oppo Coaching and LumosHR in January 2024. Through these ventures, Ben provided performance coaching, HR consultancy, and fractional HR leadership to various organizations, collaborating with esteemed partners like WilliamsF1 and Kings College London. His work in these roles emphasized leadership development, HR strategy, and total rewards.
Before his entrepreneurial endeavors, Ben served as the People Director at businessfourzero – a Heidrick & Struggles company from July 2023 to August 2024, where he was a finalist for the CIPD Awards 2024 for Best L&D Initiative in the Private Sector. His leadership was instrumental in HR transformation, strategic human resources leadership, and talent acquisition.
Earlier, Ben held the position of VP, People EMEA (Interim) at Strategic Value Partners, where he led HR operations across Europe, Asia, and the US. He played a pivotal role in the digitization and integration of global HR tools and managed the firm’s MBA recruitment program.
Ben’s previous roles also include People Director at Motive Partners, where he was a member of the global leadership team, and Head of People at Osler Diagnostics, where he scaled the team from Series A to Series C funding rounds.
