India, October 2025 — Benetton Group has appointed Nikhil Upadhye as its new Managing Director for India, effective 16th October 2025. He will succeed Ramprasad Sridharan, who is moving on from Benetton India to pursue a new professional opportunity.
Nikhil Upadhye had previously served as Commercial Director at Benetton India until February 2025. His earlier stint with the company began in 2017 and spanned several leadership roles. With over two decades of experience across the sports, footwear, and fashion industries, Nikhil has also held senior positions at Idea Cellular, Reebok, Tata Wolverine, Welspun UK, and Jio.
A Sloan Fellow from London Business School and an alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad, Nikhil brings to Benetton a robust track record in business growth, brand strategy, and commercial leadership.
In its official statement, Benetton Group expressed its gratitude to Ramprasad Sridharan, stating, “Ram has provided valuable leadership to the company post COVID-19. During this period, the brand consolidated its position and grew its market position through a multi-channel approach, effective product offering and enhanced communication approach.”
The company further added, “India continues to be a key market for Benetton where we have been present since 1992. We look forward to ushering in a new era of growth for Benetton in India.”
