New York, June 2024 – Beth Ann Day has been appointed as the Chief of Staff & Head of Talent at Bernstein. In her new role, she will lead the firm’s talent strategy, oversee growth initiatives, and support Bernstein’s culture as a joint venture between Societe Generale and AllianceBernstein.
Expressing her excitement, Day stated, “I’m happy to share that as of April 1 I’ve started a new position as Chief of Staff & Head of Talent at Bernstein. We are still very much Bernstein – but now a new joint venture between Societe Generale and our former parent AllianceBernstein. It’s an exciting time of growth for our business, which also means I’m personally in that good-but-not-comfortable growth zone of learning/stretching/re-imagining. I’m up for it!“
Day brings over 20 years of experience to her new role. Most recently, she served as Managing Director and SVP, Chief Talent Officer, Global Associate Director of Research at AB Bernstein for over 19 years. Here, she led talent acquisition, development, and engagement while driving global research strategies.
Before her time at AB Bernstein, she was Director, Associate Director of U.S. Research at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) from April 2001 to March 2005, where she oversaw research management and strategy in the U.S. market. She also served as Vice President, Research Management at Morgan Stanley from April 2000 to April 2001, managing research initiatives and talent development.
Earlier in her career, Day held positions as Vice President, Director of Research Management at BOFA Securities (1997-2000), and as an Associate Analyst at Montgomery Securities (1992-1995), providing comprehensive research insights in the financial services industry.
