Downers Grove, Illinois, United States, May 2025 – The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) has announced the appointment of Beth Hayson as its new Chief Learning and Publications Officer. With more than two decades of experience in continuing medical and dental education, strategic leadership, and instructional design, Beth brings a wealth of expertise in driving innovation in healthcare learning environments.
Prior to joining ASGE, Beth served for nearly a decade at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), where she most recently held the role of Associate Executive Director, Continuing Education, Meetings and Exhibitions. In that position, she was responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of continuing education programs, including the organization’s annual meetings and dental implant conferences, while ensuring ACCME and ADA CERP compliance.
Earlier, Beth worked at the Academy of General Dentistry as Director of Education, overseeing comprehensive educational programming such as online learning, annual meetings, and exam development. She also held a range of key roles at AAOMS in her earlier tenure, including Director and Manager of Continuing Education, as well as Senior Staff Associate for Practice Management, where she drove programs addressing regulatory compliance and professional development.
Beth began her career in pediatric healthcare and association event coordination, including roles at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS). Her cross-functional background spans education strategy, accreditation, learning technology, and blended learning—making her a strong fit for ASGE’s mission to elevate digestive healthcare through endoscopic excellence.
She holds an MBA in Non-Profit and Organizational Management from North Park University, where she also earned a Certificate in Healthcare Management.
