Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, May 2025 – Bettina Mertin has taken on a new leadership role as Head of Talent Acquisition & Talent Management, Group Sector Tires at Continental, effective April 2025. In this newly restructured role, Bettina will oversee the entire talent lifecycle—from attraction and recruiting to onboarding, performance, engagement, and retention—bringing a more integrated and holistic approach to talent development within the Tires business unit.
Previously, Bettina served for nearly five years as Head of Talent Management & Organizational Development, Tires, where she drove talent development strategy and employee experience initiatives across global operations. Her leadership has been instrumental in aligning talent efforts with Continental’s organizational transformation.
Before this, Bettina held the position of Head of Talent Management and Organizational Development for the BU Replacement EMEA for close to nine years, leading multiple high-impact people development programs and regional workforce strategies across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Her career at Continental spans over 38 years, including earlier roles such as Head of Project Management and HR Development for R&D, and Executive Assistant. Her longevity with the company reflects a deep-rooted understanding of Continental’s culture and a commitment to driving excellence in HR leadership.
