Bengaluru, India, August 2025 – Bharat Raizada has been appointed as the Global Head of Enterprise Cloud at American Express, where he will oversee enterprise cloud strategy, global infrastructure, and the modernization of technology platforms to drive digital transformation at scale. With more than two decades of technology leadership experience across banking and financial services, he brings deep expertise in enterprise technology, cloud engineering, API platforms, AI for development, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Prior to joining American Express, Bharat served as Managing Director & CTO for India and the Philippines at Wells Fargo, leading a 3,000+ member organization across enterprise technology infrastructure, private and public cloud engineering, developer platforms, API management, observability, and AIOPS. During his tenure, he also took on global leadership mandates as Head of CTO Architecture and Head of DevX Toolchains, shaping large-scale engineering strategy and developer experience initiatives.
Before Wells Fargo, Bharat was Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he managed core engineering teams driving API, automation, and observability platforms. He played a key role in strengthening technology resilience and innovation across the India and Hyderabad hubs.
He spent over eight years at Goldman Sachs, rising to Vice President and Senior Engineer, where he owned global engineering delivery for foundational technology platforms that supported the firm’s trading and financial operations worldwide.
Earlier in his career, Bharat worked at Cognizant Technology Solutions as a Manager in Technology, delivering large IT transformation programs across the U.S., Europe, and India. He also held roles at ECS Consulting (PwC Consulting India), BNY Mellon | Pershing, and CGI, building strong expertise in technology consulting, program management, and software engineering.
Bharat holds an MBA (PGDM) in Finance and IT from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, which laid the foundation for his career in technology strategy and leadership.
