Hyderabad, Telangana, India, January 2026 — Biophore India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., a research-driven global Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) company, has appointed Amit Khurana as Chief Business Officer, strengthening its commercial leadership to accelerate global growth, market expansion and long-term value creation across key therapeutic segments.
In his new role, Amit will lead global business strategy, commercial operations, market development and strategic partnerships as Biophore continues to expand its differentiated API portfolio across regulated and emerging markets.
Amit Khurana brings over two decades of global pharmaceutical business leadership spanning APIs, intermediates, formulations and biosciences across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Most recently, he served as Commercial Officer – India & Emerging Markets at Cohance Lifesciences, where he led commercial strategy, regional market expansion and business development initiatives across fast-growing pharmaceutical markets. Prior to this, he was Vice President – Marketing at Aurobindo Pharma, spearheading international marketing strategy, customer partnerships and market penetration across key therapeutic categories.
Earlier, he held leadership roles at Granules India Limited as Associate Vice President, managing profitability and operational performance for APIs, intermediates and formulations, and at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Associate Director & Region Head – North Asia, where he built strategic market presence across Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore. His career foundation includes senior international sales and business development leadership roles at Orchid Pharma, Nectar Lifesciences, Wockhardt, and Jubilant Organosys, where he built large multi-market pharmaceutical portfolios.
