Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, January 2026 — Adani Natural Resources, the mining, metals and resource trading arm of Adani Enterprises Limited, has announced the elevation of Rajendra Ingale as Chief Business Officer – Coal Mining, strengthening its leadership framework to accelerate operational excellence, enterprise-wide alignment and sustainable growth across its mining value chain.
The announcement was made by Vaibhav Alshi, Chief People Officer – Natural Resources, Adani Enterprises, reinforcing the Group’s focus on building strong, future-ready leadership to power India’s resource security, energy transition and industrial self-reliance.
Rajendra Ingale brings over two decades of leadership experience within Adani Enterprises Limited, making him one of the organisation’s longest-serving and most strategically influential mining leaders.
He has been associated with Adani Enterprises for over twenty-one years, most recently serving as Business Head – Mining, where he led multi-location mining operations, commercial strategy and enterprise integration across the coal mining portfolio. Prior to this, he held the role of Chief Commercial Officer – Mining Business for nearly seventeen years, playing a pivotal role in shaping Adani’s mining commercial frameworks, long-term supply strategies, vendor ecosystems and large-scale mining program execution.
In his new role as Chief Business Officer – Coal Mining, Rajendra will lead end-to-end coal mining operations, strategy, commercial performance, digital integration and operational governance — ensuring strong alignment across mining operations, logistics, compliance and sustainability mandates.
He holds an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from ITM Group of Institutions.
