Bhawna Shukla Joins Kores India Group as Vice President – Human Resources

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – Bhawna Shukla has joined Kores India Group as the Vice President – Human Resources, where she will lead the HR function across the group’s diversified businesses spanning stationery, foundry, engineering, business automation, and pharmaceuticals. In her new role, Bhawna will be responsible for shaping the organization’s people strategy, enhancing talent capabilities, and supporting the company’s continued growth through agile and people-centric HR practices.

Before joining Kores India Group, Bhawna Shukla worked as a Lead Associate with a prominent global HR consulting organization, where she offered tailored HR solutions to various clients. Drawing from her 18 years of experience, she specialized in talent acquisition, employee engagement, organizational development, and strategic HR planning across industries.

Prior to that, she spent nearly two years at Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd. as DGM – HR (HRBP Support Functions). There, she led HR operations for over 800 employees and played a pivotal role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives. She was instrumental in developing competency frameworks, driving cultural transformation initiatives, and enhancing organizational productivity through data-driven HR interventions.

Earlier, Bhawna served as Deputy General Manager at NRB Bearings Limited, where she led talent management initiatives and supported the manufacturing business through strategic workforce planning, career development, and competency-based assessments. Her tenure also included successful implementation of performance management and succession planning frameworks.

She also held the role of Head HR – India at Puratos, where she crafted a holistic HR strategy focused on engagement, productivity, and compliance. She managed nationwide HR operations, developed competency-based hiring strategies, and ensured regulatory adherence across labor laws.

Her earlier experiences span impactful HR roles at INA Bearings India Pvt. Ltd. (Schaeffler Group), Visteon, and Delphi, where she drove initiatives in talent development, organizational restructuring, employee engagement, and HR compliance. These roles laid a strong foundation in her journey as a strategic HR leader.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
