Kolkata, West Bengal, India, June 2024 – Bimal Kumar has been promoted to Vice President at HDFC Bank. With over eight years of dedicated service at HDFC Bank, Bimal brings extensive experience and expertise in human resources and talent management to his new role.
Bimal Kumar has been a vital part of HDFC Bank for over eight years, demonstrating exceptional leadership and commitment in various HR roles. Before his promotion to Vice President, he served as the Head of TAQ Delivery (HR) for nine months, where he was responsible for overseeing talent acquisition and quality delivery, ensuring the bank attracted and retained top talent.
Prior to his current role, Bimal was a CEO Club Member from April 2022 to the present, recognizing his significant contributions to the bank’s success. His leadership and strategic thinking have been instrumental in driving HR initiatives that align with the bank’s goals.
From June 2019 to September 2023, Bimal served as the Regional Head-HRBP, where he played a crucial role in managing human resources business partnerships across the region, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Bimal’s journey at HDFC Bank began as a Regional Service Manager-HR (RSM) from November 2015 to May 2019. In this role, he was responsible for managing HR services, ensuring seamless HR operations, and enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
Before joining HDFC Bank, Bimal gained valuable experience at Reliance Jio USA, Inc. as the Circle Lead HR (Jharkhand), where he served from September 2013 to November 2015. His responsibilities included leading HR functions for the Jharkhand circle, implementing HR strategies, and supporting business growth through effective people management.
Earlier in his career, Bimal worked at International Travel House Limited as Corporate HR from June 2012 to September 2013, and at Safexpress Private Limited as Regional Human Resources (Delhi/NCR) from May 2010 to May 2012. In these roles, he developed and executed HR policies, managed recruitment and talent acquisition, and contributed to the overall HR strategy.
