Topeka, Kansas, United States, August 2024 – Brian White has taken on the role of Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Development at Polo Custom Products. In this position, Brian will lead and drive all strategic and operational business initiatives for Human Resource services, policies, procedures, and programs across the entire company. Additionally, he will plan and organize the company’s approach to Strategic Planning.
Brian White joins Polo Custom Products after serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources and Operations at Auburn-Washburn USD 437 for over 12 years. In this role, he was responsible for organizing and directing a comprehensive personnel program, including recruitment, selection, wage and salary administration, employee relations, and workers’ compensation program administration. He also advised the Superintendent on labor relations matters and litigation management while ensuring effective delivery of operational support services.
Prior to Auburn-Washburn USD 437, Brian held various roles at Payless ShoeSource for approximately 5 years. He started as a Staffing Manager and progressed to College Relations Manager and finally to Manager – Stores HR South Zone. In these positions, he provided guidance and support to retail operations executives and staff, focusing on the identification, growth, and development of human capital.
Brian also spent over 6 years at Target, where he held multiple leadership roles including Human Resources Group Leader/Representative, Training Group Leader, Operations Group Leader, and Regional Transportation Supervisor. His responsibilities included leading HR functions, training and development, operations management, and regional transportation supervision.
United States Navy: Earlier in his career, Brian served as a Supply Corps Officer in the United States Navy for 4 years, gaining valuable experience in logistics and supply chain management.
