Amsterdam, Netherlands, March 2025 – The HEINEKEN Company has announced the appointment of Carlos Sandoval Aguilar as Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Senior Director of Technology, Security & Operations. With an impressive 27-year tenure at HEINEKEN, Carlos has been instrumental in driving digital transformation, IT strategy, and business innovation across the company’s global operations.
Stepping into his new role, Carlos will oversee HEINEKEN’s technology strategy, cybersecurity, and operational technology frameworks, furthering the company’s commitment to innovation and security in an increasingly digital landscape.
Carlos began his journey with HEINEKEN MÉXICO in 1998, where he played a key role in integrating technology across brewery operations, supply chain, and IT infrastructure. Over the years, he advanced into senior IT leadership roles, spearheading major digital transformation projects, including supply chain optimization, IT infrastructure modernization, and global security operations.
In 2015, Carlos transitioned to HEINEKEN’s Global Leadership Team in Amsterdam, taking on the role of Global Infrastructure and Data Services Director, where he led global hosting, security, network, and workplace solutions. By 2019, he assumed responsibility as Global Director for Technology Platforms and Sourcing, overseeing cloud services, AI, automation, IoT, and cybersecurity strategies.
With his vast expertise in IT strategy, cybersecurity, and AI-driven business transformation, Carlos is well-positioned to drive HEINEKEN’s EverGreen strategy, ensuring it remains the best-connected brewer in the world.
