Lauren Buxbaum Starts New Position as Head of Talent Development at Blue Owl Capital

New York, New York, United States, March 2026 — Lauren Buxbaum has started a new position as Head of Talent Development at Blue Owl Capital. In this role, she is focused on making talent a strategic advantage for the organization by partnering with team members on leadership effectiveness, executive coaching, and broader talent development initiatives. Her appointment reflects Blue Owl Capital’s continued emphasis on leadership capability, people development, and building a strong talent foundation to support its long-term growth.

Alongside this new role, Lauren Buxbaum is also Co-Founder at SwivelUp, where she has been building a platform centered on the idea of “Your Career Your Way.” This entrepreneurial journey highlights her ongoing commitment to helping professionals navigate career growth, leadership development, and evolving workplace opportunities.

She also serves as President at Coachologies, where she focuses on executive coaching in change management, effective leadership, and personal growth. In addition, she has been associated with Agility Advisers as Talent Strategist, Executive Coach and Entrepreneur, further reinforcing her profile as a seasoned talent and leadership advisor with strong expertise in coaching senior professionals and helping organizations strengthen their people strategies.

Earlier in her career, Lauren Buxbaum held senior leadership roles at some of the world’s most prominent financial institutions. She served as Managing Director at BNY Mellon, where she was Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Investment Management. Before that, she was Global Head of Recruiting at PIMCO, Global Head of Human Resources & Administration at Passport Capital, LLC, and Global Head of Professional Development & Recruiting at The Blackstone Group. These roles gave her deep experience in executive hiring, organizational development, and talent leadership within global investment and financial services environments.

Before moving fully into talent and human capital leadership, Lauren Buxbaum also built a strong foundation in investment banking and recruiting leadership. She served as Americas Head of Recruiting, Investment Banking & Private Equity at Goldman Sachs and earlier worked at UBS Investment Bank as Director, Investment Banker. This combination of frontline business experience and global talent leadership has given her a distinctive perspective on how organizations can align leadership development with business strategy.

With a career spanning executive coaching, talent strategy, recruiting, human resources, and financial services leadership, Lauren Buxbaum brings a rich and well-rounded background to her new role at Blue Owl Capital. Her experience across entrepreneurship, coaching, and global financial institutions is expected to support the firm’s ongoing focus on developing high-performing leaders and building talent as a long-term competitive advantage.
