Dublin, Ohio, United States, January 2026 — Carly Mihaila has been promoted to Senior Vice President, HR Business Partner – Global Medical Products and Distribution (GMPD) at Cardinal Health, taking on responsibility for people strategy, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and culture stewardship across one of the company’s largest and most critical global segments. In her expanded role, she will focus on driving workforce strategy, leadership capability, succession planning, and sustained business performance across GMPD’s global operations.

In her most recent tenure at Cardinal Health, Carly has spent over three years leading people strategy for global operations and supply chain as Vice President, HR Business Partner – Global Operations and Supply Chain, where she partnered closely with senior leadership on organizational transformation, workforce planning, talent strategy, and leadership capability building for complex manufacturing and distribution networks supporting global healthcare delivery.

Prior to that, she served as Director, HR Business Partner – Global Manufacturing and Global Technical Services, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening manufacturing workforce strategy, technical capability development, and large-scale organizational effectiveness initiatives across critical global production and service operations.

Carly also led HR strategy for Cardinal Health’s Home Solutions business as Director, HR Business Partner, supporting a multi-billion-dollar segment by shaping culture, leadership development, succession planning, and enterprise-wide organizational design programs to accelerate growth and operational maturity.

Earlier in her Cardinal Health career, she served as Director, HR Business Partner – Nuclear Precision and Health Solutions, where she guided senior leaders on organizational design, engagement, leadership development, and enterprise talent programs supporting highly regulated healthcare environments. She also held HR leadership roles across Interventional Solutions (Europe) and Global Sourcing and Finance, further strengthening her global people leadership profile across regions and functions.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
