Scottsdale, Arizona, United States, July 2025 – Carol Meichner-Smith has been appointed as Vice President Human Resources at Troon, the global leader in golf and club management, development, and marketing. In this new role, Carol will lead Troon’s human resources strategy, focusing on organizational growth, people development, and employee engagement across its global network.
Carol Meichner-Smith brings nearly three decades of diverse HR leadership experience to her new role at Troon. Prior to joining Troon, she spent over seven years at InEight, where she held leadership roles including Human Resources Director and HR Business Partner, focusing on M&A integration, HR strategy, and global workforce development.
Before that, Carol worked for APL Logistics and APL, serving as Sr. HR Manager – Operations and Systems and Sr. HR Manager – Staffing and Reporting for nearly six years. Her contributions included aligning HR processes with business strategy and optimizing talent systems for operational scalability.
Carol also held HR leadership positions at Apriva and Honeywell, with a combined experience of over a decade in roles such as Senior HR Manager, HR Manager, and Principal HR Generalist, where she managed complex projects in organizational design, HR compliance, and leadership development.
Earlier in her career, she served in senior administrative and HR support roles at Fluke Networks, RSC Equipment Rental, and other organizations, contributing significantly to executive operations, workforce analytics, and strategic HR functions.
