Poole, England, United Kingdom – May 2025 – Carolyn Greene has taken on a new role as Chief People Officer at the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), marking a significant leadership milestone within the organization. With over two decades of expertise across people strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, Carolyn is poised to drive RNLI’s people-first vision while supporting its mission to save lives at sea.
Carolyn has spent more than seven years at RNLI, taking on a series of key leadership roles before her elevation. Most recently, she served as Performance and Continuous Improvement Manager, and earlier as People Services and Systems Manager and Process and System Lead, where she helped shape HR transformation and enhanced operational efficiency.
Prior to RNLI, Carolyn held a series of senior roles at Capita, including Operations Director, Business Manager, and HR Change Manager, where she led large-scale HR operations, payroll administration, employee case management, and strategic workforce development. Earlier in her career, she spent over 12 years at Barclays, where she was instrumental in setting up an HR Payroll Contact Centre and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Carolyn brings deep expertise in people management, stakeholder engagement, customer experience, project management, and leadership development, making her a key asset to RNLI’s senior leadership team.
