Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, September 2025 – Chinmay Pati has been appointed as the Assistant Vice President at KP Group, marking an important milestone in his career in the energy and infrastructure sectors. In his new role, he will lead business development for Transmission Towers and Monopoles and drive international sales initiatives aligned with the group’s expansive renewable and infrastructure portfolio.
Prior to joining KP Group, Chinmay Pati served for over a year as General Manager at Utkarsh India Limited, where he was responsible for business development, international sales and marketing, P&L management, and key account management, particularly in the infrastructure sector. His role played a crucial part in expanding the company’s international footprint and boosting revenue through strategic project wins.
Before that, he spent more than two years at SHEMAR Group, where he held the role of Assistant General Manager. There, he managed sales, contract negotiations, project P&L, tendering, and estimation activities across India and contributed significantly to the company’s positioning in the power infrastructure domain.
Earlier, Chinmay worked for over four years at Valmont Industries, Inc., where he served as Manager, Business Development, handling strategic initiatives across sales, marketing, and project management. His tenure saw him contribute to several landmark projects and lead crucial business transformation efforts across the eastern region of India.
In a foundational phase of his career, Chinmay held key positions at Torrent Power, Feedback Infra, and Utility Powertech Limited, collectively amassing nearly a decade of expertise in power transmission and distribution, project engineering, erection and commissioning of substations, and operations management. These roles gave him deep operational exposure and a strong grounding in technical project delivery in power and infrastructure sectors.
Chinmay holds an Executive Diploma in Advanced Strategies for CXOs from XLRI Jamshedpur, MBA in Operations from Symbiosis International University, and
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, further strengthening his business leadership and operational strategy acumen.
