In his new role, Fryson will be based in San Diego, California, where he will provide leadership and direction to the Human Resources Business Partners team. His responsibilities will encompass creating and implementing a clear vision in support of the company’s strategic objectives, as well as guiding and developing the human resources business partners teams.

Fryson brings to HomeServices of America a rich background in human resources and real estate, most notably from his time at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, where he served as Vice President of Human Resources. During his tenure, Fryson led the HR function, offering hands-on support for all aspects of human resources. His leadership covered nearly 300 employees across 50 offices, showcasing his ability to manage and inspire large teams.

Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, Fryson demonstrated his leadership skills as a Branch Manager in San Diego, specializing in coaching real estate agents to increase their profitability and productivity. His expertise in agent training and compliance with company and industry policies played a critical role in enhancing the overall productivity of the branches he managed.

Fryson’s earlier career experiences include significant roles in real estate brokerage and sales, where he provided effective home selling techniques and partnered successfully between buyer and seller clients in a competitive market. His foundational experience in human resources was honed at global corporations such as GE Insurance Solutions and GE Capital, where he developed his skills in human resources administration and management.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
