With over a decade of experience in commercial strategy and sales within the medical technology sector, Marrus is well-prepared to drive Synaptive’s growth initiatives and expand its market presence globally. His strategic insight and proven expertise in the field are expected to play a pivotal role in Synaptive Medical’s continued expansion and innovation.
Prior to joining Synaptive, Marrus held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at INSIGHTEC, where he served from April 2020 to April 2024. His tenure at INSIGHTEC was marked by significant contributions to the company’s commercial strategy and expansion, particularly in the Houston, Texas area. Before INSIGHTEC, Marrus was the Vice President of Robotic Sales and Service at Stryker, where he led substantial growth in the robotics division from January 2014 to April 2020, enhancing their market position in robotic surgical systems.
His earlier experience includes leadership roles at MAKO Surgical Corp. as Senior Vice President of Sales, and at EndoGastric Solutions where he was Vice President of Sales. Throughout his career, Marrus has demonstrated a keen ability to enhance product visibility and significantly boost sales figures, making him a top-tier professional in medical sales and commercial strategy.
