Unilever Ghana PLC has officially announced Mr. Chris Wulff-Caesar as its new Managing Director, a position that will see him take the helm from April 1, 2024. This appointment marks a notable return for Mr. Wulff-Caesar to Unilever Ghana PLC, where his professional journey in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector began as a management trainee back in 1999.
With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Mr. Wulff-Caesar brings to the table a wealth of experience gained across the globe, particularly within the FMCG landscape. Before his new role at Unilever Ghana, he held the position of Marketing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Friesland Campina in Nigeria. Here, he was responsible for the management and marketing strategies of brands across 44 countries, demonstrating his capability to operate and excel in diverse and challenging markets.
Mr. Wulff-Caesar’s resume also includes a significant stint at ABInBev, where he served as the Marketing Director for West Africa (Ghana & Nigeria) and was a member of the Board of Directors for Accra Brewery Ltd. His time at ABInBev was marked by his key role in the establishment and growth of the brand portfolio, initiated through the strategic acquisition of SAB Miller.
His career has been punctuated with various leadership roles, including as Africa Category Expansion/Innovation Manager and Marketing Director in Ghana during his tenure at SAB Miller. This extensive background underscores his leadership skills and strategic insight, which are expected to steer Unilever Ghana PLC towards new heights of success and innovation.
Mr. Wulff-Caesar is not only recognized for his professional accomplishments but is also a fellow of the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN) and an Associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). His academic background is equally impressive, holding a BA (Honors) Degree in Economics from the University of Ghana and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School of Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, United Kingdom.
In addition to his role as Managing Director, Mr. Wulff-Caesar will serve as an Executive Director on the Unilever Ghana PLC Board, where his strategic vision will continue to influence the company’s direction and growth.
