Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Mitesh Manubarwala has started a new position as Global Human Resources Director at Diageo, marking an important milestone in his global HR leadership journey.
In this role at Diageo, Mitesh will drive global people strategy, align talent priorities with business objectives, and strengthen leadership capability across markets. His appointment underscores Diageo’s continued commitment to building a future-ready workforce and advancing its people agenda globally.
Prior to joining Diageo, Mitesh spent over a decade at A.P. Moller – Maersk, where he most recently served as Global Head of People Function, Maersk GSC – Global Human Resources Business Partner (Director-HR). As part of the core Global Service Centres leadership team, he led the people strategy across India, China, Philippines, Mexico, and Morocco, shaping value creation initiatives and overseeing end-to-end HR outcomes across global finance, customer experience, and operations service delivery functions.
Earlier, he held key HR leadership roles at Sears Holdings India and IBM India Private Limited, where he drove talent management, succession planning, employee relations, performance management transformation, and large-scale workforce engagement initiatives.
Mitesh holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Institute of Management, Nirma University, complementing his extensive global HR expertise.
