Christian Schierbaum Appointed as Chief Executive Officer at Hero Group

Lenzburg, Aargau, Switzerland, April 2025 – Christian Schierbaum has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer at Hero Group, marking a significant leadership milestone in the company’s global journey of delivering high-quality, naturally good food products. In his new role, Christian will steer Hero’s strategic vision, drive sustainable growth, and further strengthen the company’s mission of conserving the goodness of nature for consumers worldwide.

Prior to this elevation, Christian served as Chief Business Officer and Member of the Executive Board at Hero Group for over two years, where he expanded his earlier Chief Marketing Officer role to include oversight of supply chain management, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality. His contributions played a key role in broadening the operational and strategic framework of the company, aligning its supply chain with evolving market demands while continuing to drive marketing and innovation excellence.

Before joining Hero Group, Christian held several senior leadership roles at Mondelēz International over a span of nearly nine years, culminating in his role as President of Gum & Candy Europe. During his tenure, he managed the full P&L responsibility for the European Gum & Candy business, while also serving as President Marketing Europe, overseeing marketing functions across the region. He previously led global and regional marketing strategies for the Coffee division, demonstrating a strong record of portfolio growth, innovation leadership, and market expansion across Europe and EEMEA.

Earlier in his career, Christian built a strong foundation at Reckitt Benckiser and Wella AG, where he held roles such as Marketing Director Nordics, Global Brand Marketing Manager for Woolite, and European Sales Manager & Trade Marketing Manager. His journey started with impactful marketing and product leadership roles at Novartis Nutrition GmbH and Goldwell GmbH / Kao Corporation, honing his expertise in FMCG marketing, category management, and brand development. Across more than two decades, Christian has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive transformational growth, strategic brand building, and operational excellence.
