Beaufort, South Carolina, United States, August 2025 – Christina Jackson has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, where she will develop and execute people strategies to enhance employee engagement, attract top talent, and maintain a positive workplace culture. In this leadership role, she will align HR initiatives with the hospital’s strategic objectives, supporting its commitment to providing exceptional care to the community.
Jackson most recently served as a Human Resources Interim Leader with HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, stepping into organisations during times of transition, transformation, or growth to provide immediate strategic and operational HR leadership. Her work spanned talent management, organisational development, and workforce planning in diverse healthcare environments.
Previously, Jackson was Vice President, Human Resources at HCA Healthcare, where she led HR strategy and workforce planning for multiple hospitals, including Ocala/West Marion Hospital (545 beds, 2,500+ FTEs) and Mission Hospital (878 beds, 6,000+ FTEs). She achieved significant outcomes, including a 25% productivity increase and $7M in cost savings, a 12% reduction in RN turnover (ranking #1 among 186 locations), and the design of leadership programs that boosted internal promotions by 40%. She also successfully renegotiated a major nurse union contract, improved engagement and wellness scores, and enhanced operational efficiency across HR functions.
Earlier, she was Head of Human Resources at both Revolution Industrial Group and Functional Pathways, where she built HR infrastructure, implemented compliance policies, improved retention, and led multi-state HR operations for large workforces. She also served as Market Lead Human Resources Director at Community Health Systems, introducing Lean and Six Sigma tools to streamline HR processes and improve onboarding times.
Jackson began her healthcare HR career with Health Management Associates, Inc., holding multiple Human Resources Director roles across hospital and physician practice settings. She led employee committees, negotiated union contracts, and implemented orientation and training programs that improved engagement and compliance.
