San Francisco, California, United States, December 2025 – SmithRx has appointed Christine Centa as Chief Human Resources Officer, marking a significant leadership addition as the company continues revolutionizing pharmacy benefits with a transparent, technology‑driven model for employers and patients across the United States. Immediately prior to joining SmithRx, Christine Centa served at HashiCorp for nearly six years, most recently as Chief People Officer. She led global people strategy, culture, and organizational development, and earlier served as VP, Total Rewards and People Operations, where she built scalable compensation, benefits, HR operations and people systems across a rapidly growing engineering‑led organization.
Before HashiCorp, Christine spent almost seven years at Pivotal Software, Inc. in Palo Alto, California, rising to the role of VP, Total Rewards, Global Payroll, Mobility, Immigration, Analytics & HRIS. She oversaw compensation, equity, benefits, global mobility, HR systems and payroll, designing and implementing enterprise compensation structures, equity plans, pay frameworks and annual performance and rewards programs.
Earlier, she spent over eleven years at EMC (now part of Dell Technologies) in progressive HR leadership roles, including Director, Compensation and Sr. Manager, Compensation, working as a compensation business partner for business units ranging from 15,000 to 22,000 employees. She also led the HR Leadership Development Program, managed HR programs such as compensation review and engagement surveys, and served as HR Operations Manager for engineering and technical groups.
Across the earlier stages of her career, Christine gained foundational HR experience over six years as an HR Specialist, building expertise across HR generalist work, operations, compensation and rotational HR development programs, shaping the breadth of capabilities she brings to senior HR leadership.
Christine holds an MBA in Global Management from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, strengthening her strategic and global leadership orientation.
