Houston, Texas, United States, April 2026 — Claudia Esquivel has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer at The Robert A. Welch Foundation, bringing extensive finance, operations, governance, and strategy leadership experience to the Houston-based foundation.
Before joining The Robert A. Welch Foundation, Claudia served as a Fractional Consultant at TOS Advisors, where she worked as an interim operations partner for a high-growth startup, focusing on strengthening controls, formalizing operational processes, and standardizing client onboarding frameworks.
Earlier, Claudia served as Chief Financial Officer at Sirius Education Solutions, where she led enterprise financial strategy, governance, capital optimization, long-range planning, and data-driven financial decision-making to support sustainable growth.
She also held the role of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer at GTG Capital, managing financial strategy, governance, risk management, and multi-entity operations for UHNW families and global investments. Previously, she spent over seven years with GSM, where she led finance and operations for a national marketing agency, and also held senior finance roles at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Dell.
