Columbia, Missouri, United States, December 2025 — Cleo Boyd has started a new position as Director of Human Resources at Hitachi Energy, marking a significant leadership transition in the company’s U.S. operations. In this role, he is based in Jefferson City, Missouri, where he is responsible for leading human resources initiatives aligned with Hitachi Energy’s strategic and operational priorities.
In his current role at Hitachi Energy, Cleo Boyd focuses on strengthening employee engagement, driving organizational effectiveness, and partnering closely with business leadership to ensure HR strategies directly support business outcomes. His mandate includes talent acquisition, employee relations, labor relations, leadership development, and organizational design, with a strong emphasis on building a productive and motivated workforce.
Prior to joining Hitachi Energy, Boyd spent over six years at TPI Composites, Inc., where he served as Director of Human Resources – U.S. Operations, leading HR for multiple manufacturing and services business units across the United States. Earlier at TPI Composites, he also held the role of Director of Human Resources – Wind Blade Manufacturing, supporting large-scale renewable energy manufacturing operations.
Earlier in his career, Cleo Boyd held senior HR leadership roles across capital-intensive and industrial organizations, including Noranda Aluminum as Director of Human Resources – Upstream Business, SunCoke Energy as Vice President – Human Resources, and Martin Marietta as Vice President – Human Resources. His experience also includes long tenures at CEMEX and Dana Corporation, where he led regional and plant-level HR operations across multiple U.S. locations.
