Calgary, Alberta, Canada, August 2025 – Colan Kee has been promoted to Vice President, People & Culture at Enerflex Ltd., where he will lead the company’s global people and culture strategy, focusing on talent management, organizational development, employee engagement, and leadership capability building. In his new role, Kee will play a pivotal part in aligning the company’s human capital strategies with its mission of transforming energy for a sustainable future.
Kee has been with Enerflex for over a year, most recently serving as Director, People & Culture, where he contributed to advancing the company’s people initiatives and enhancing its culture across a global workforce. His leadership has supported Enerflex’s growth and commitment to sustainability and energy transition solutions.
Prior to Enerflex, Kee was Leader, Human Resources – Expansion Project at Trans Mountain, where he supported one of Canada’s most significant infrastructure projects. In this role, he provided strategic HR leadership to ensure talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee relations met the demands of a large-scale, multi-year expansion effort.
Kee’s longest tenure was at Enerplus, where he spent over 11 years in progressively senior roles, ultimately serving as Head, People & Culture and Corporate Communications. Reporting directly to the CEO, he oversaw a comprehensive HR portfolio including talent management, leadership development, DE&I initiatives, total rewards, corporate communications, and community investment. During this time, he led culture transformation initiatives, implemented world-class people practices, and represented management to the Board’s HR & Compensation Committee.
Earlier in his career, Kee held senior HR roles at CNOOC International (formerly Nexen Inc.) and OPTI Canada, where he was instrumental in workforce planning, strategic HR business partnering, and building foundational people practices to support rapid organizational growth. He began his career as President & Managing Partner of Effective Personnel Solutions Inc., gaining entrepreneurial and talent acquisition expertise. Kee holds a Master of Business Administration in Executive Management from Royal Roads University.
