Santa Monica, California, United States / India, October 2025 — Cornerstone OnDemand Inc., a leader in workforce agility solutions, has announced the expansion of its leadership with the appointments of Guna Jayaraman as Chief AI Officer and Himanshu Baxi as Chief Development Officer. These new roles mark a pivotal step in Cornerstone’s mission to create people solutions that address skills shortages, AI adoption challenges, and unlock human potential in today’s evolving marketplace.
AI is redefining the very fabric of work, with static job roles giving way to dynamic, real-time skills continuously mapped through data pipelines, enterprise knowledge graphs, and agentic orchestration layers. With decades of experience in building secure, scalable, and ethical AI solutions for workforce development, Cornerstone is uniquely positioned to lead organizations through the next era of AI workforce transformation.
The appointment of Jayaraman as Chief AI Officer underscores the company’s deep AI strategy convictions. With more than 20 years of experience at leading technology organizations—including 13 years at Amazon, where he most recently served as Vice President of Software Development for People Technologies—Jayaraman has spearheaded large-scale distributed systems, global retail and customer service platforms, and end-to-end enterprise AI initiatives.
“Organizations today cannot afford to experiment at the edges,” said Jayaraman. “Workforce architecture needs to continuously evolve and bind human capability with AI. Cornerstone’s deep roots in learning, combined with its skills-first DNA, create the perfect foundation. I am excited to build on their existing AI innovation and continue to help enterprises operationalize AI at scale securely, responsibly, and with measurable impact.”
Complementing this vision, Baxi joins as Chief Development Officer after serving as an advisor to the company. With more than 30 years of leadership experience—including leading Amazon Search’s customer-facing experience and senior roles at Intuit and Microsoft—he has consistently scaled enterprise platforms to millions of global users. “Workforce solutions at scale must be resilient, seamless, and trusted by enterprises,” said Baxi. “Cornerstone has proven it can deliver at this level, and I look forward to extending that capability even further.”
Himanshu Palsule, CEO of Cornerstone, commented: “We’re shaping a leadership team that pushes the boundaries of AI to create solutions that empower organizations to anticipate talent needs, unlock human potential, and deploy the next generation of AI agents. Bringing in Jayaraman and Baxi is so much more than bringing in more talent to shape the future of the company, we’re reimagining the future of work.”
Adding perspective, Josh Bersin, Global Industry Analyst and CEO of The Josh Bersin Company, noted: “This announcement underscores Cornerstone’s commitment to AI across its entire range of products and strategies. Through the company’s growth and continued acquisition of key technologies, Cornerstone has built an AI-centric architecture that positions the company for the next big wave of corporate computing. I’m looking forward to watching what comes next.”
