Miriam Fernandez Appointed as Head of Human Resources Mexico at Suntory Global Spirits

Mexico City Metropolitan Area ,United States September 2025 — Miriam Fernandez has been appointed as Head of Human Resources Mexico at Suntory Global Spirits. In her new role, she will oversee HR strategy, talent development, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness, supporting the company’s operations in Mexico while aligning with its global people agenda. Her appointment reflects Suntory Global Spirits’ focus on strengthening leadership and fostering inclusive workplaces in Latin America.

Miriam joins Suntory Global Spirits after an impactful tenure with Hilti Latin America, where she served as DEI Manager Latin America and earlier as Learning & Development Manager & DEI Champion LATAM. Based in Panama, she was instrumental in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while driving regional learning and development programs. Her efforts enhanced leadership capability, project management efficiency, and employee engagement across multiple countries.

Previously, Miriam was with Quala S.A. for over four years in various HR leadership roles. She served as Human Resources Business Partner Manager, HR Business Partner Master, and Senior HR Business Partner, supporting functions including manufacturing, logistics, and sales. During her time there, she strengthened HR operations in Toluca, Mexico, with a strong emphasis on team leadership, workforce planning, and business alignment.

She began her HR journey with Bonafont, where she gained early experience as Human Resources Intern and later as Human Resources Coordinator, managing labor relations and HR processes at CEDIS. These formative years laid the foundation for her career in people strategy and operations.

With more than 14 years of HR leadership experience across consumer goods and industrial sectors, Miriam brings deep expertise in organizational development, talent management, and DEI leadership. At Suntory Global Spirits, she is poised to build on her legacy of shaping inclusive, high-performing workplaces to drive sustainable growth.
