Chicago, Illinois, United States, May 2024 – Courtney Burda has joined R1 RCM as the new Director of Talent Acquisition, Tech and Product. Burda is excited to leverage her extensive experience in talent acquisition to drive the recruitment strategy for R1 RCM’s tech and product divisions.

Burda’s most recent role was at Grindr, where she served as the Director of Talent Acquisition for nine months. In this position, she was responsible for overseeing the talent acquisition strategy and recruitment processes, focusing on building a diverse and skilled workforce to support the company’s growth and innovation.

Prior to Grindr, Burda worked at Uber as the Director of Talent Acquisition for eight months. During her tenure, she managed the talent acquisition efforts until her position ended due to a department-wide reduction in force (RIF).

Burda spent nearly eight years at Groupon, where she held several key positions, culminating as the Global Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. In this role, she led global talent acquisition strategies, managed recruitment teams, and oversaw the hiring processes for various departments. Burda also served as Talent Acquisition Manager II and Talent Acquisition Manager, where she played a critical role in developing recruiting strategies, managing full-cycle recruitment, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Her journey at Groupon began as a Corporate Recruiter II and Corporate Recruiter, where she focused on hiring sales executives and managers and developing relationships with universities and vendors.

Before her tenure at Groupon, Burda was a Corporate Recruiter at KPMG US for just over a year, where she managed recruitment processes and strategies to attract top talent. She also worked at Northwestern Mutual as a Campus Recruitment specialist, managing on-campus advertising, promotions, and recruitment events.

Burda’s early career includes a role as a Student Employment Advisor at the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago, where she assisted students in securing part-time jobs and coordinated college work-study programs.
