San Francisco, California, United States, July 2026 — Mixpanel has appointed Dana Cohen as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening its executive leadership team as the company continues to scale its AI-first digital analytics platform and global workforce. Mixpanel is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
The appointment was announced by Jen Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Mixpanel, who highlighted Dana’s genuine commitment to the human side of work, her focus on employee wellbeing and growth, and her belief that people are responsible for bringing business strategy to life.
As CHRO, Dana will lead Mixpanel’s global people strategy, partnering closely with the executive leadership team to strengthen organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, employee experience, talent development, culture, workforce planning, and people operations. She will play a central role in building a high-performing and people-centred organization that supports Mixpanel’s continued innovation and global growth.
Dana joins Mixpanel after more than eight years with Cloudflare, where she held several senior people leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Global Head of Functional HR Business Partners for General & Administrative and Research & Development functions, supporting global teams and advising senior leaders across complex and rapidly evolving business environments.
Earlier at Cloudflare, Dana served as Vice President, Head of People Team Business Partners – Americas, Head of People Team Business Partners – Americas, and Head of People Team Business Partners – United States and Asia-Pacific. Across these roles, she helped scale the organization, strengthen leadership capability, align people strategies with business priorities, and support talent and organizational growth across multiple regions.
Before joining Cloudflare, Dana served as Director of Human Capital & Operations at the New York City Department of City Planning, where she led human resources and operations for an agency of approximately 350 employees. She developed an integrated human capital strategy spanning workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, performance management, labour relations, organizational culture, and employee relations.
Dana previously spent more than seven years with MetLife, progressing through roles including Assistant Vice President and Lead HR Business Partner, Director – Human Resources Business Partner, and HR Business Consultant. She partnered with senior executives and global functions on workforce strategy, organizational design, succession planning, leadership development, talent assessment, business transformation, and the development of diverse leadership pipelines.
Her earlier career included human resources leadership roles with Sterling Testing Systems, Milrose Consultants, and PIER 39. At PIER 39, she managed HR across a multi-entity organization, including employee relations, labour relations, benefits, training, recruitment, compensation, compliance, and collective bargaining arrangements.
Across nearly three decades of experience, Dana has built deep expertise in Strategic Human Resources, Global HR Business Partnering, Organizational Design, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Workforce Planning, Employee Relations, Labour Relations, Performance Management, Culture Transformation, Change Leadership, Employee Experience, Succession Planning, People Operations, and Executive Coaching.
