Bringing nearly three decades of extensive experience in marketing within multiple sectors, including banking, financial services, insurance, retail, and consumer goods, Mr. Walunj is set to lead the marketing strategies across the group’s businesses.
Sandeep Walunj has garnered a vast array of experiences prior to joining MOFSL. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at Nippon India Life Asset Management. His strategic efforts there included overseeing the Global Alternative Credit Franchise, where he excelled in client relationship management and capital solution innovations. Before his tenure at Nippon, Mr. Walunj contributed significantly to companies like Big Bazaar, PepsiCo India Holdings, and Reckitt Benckiser, showcasing his ability to drive business growth and operational excellence in challenging market environments.
Mr. Walunj, an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, is renowned for his strategic vision and has been instrumental in facilitating expansive growth and implementing innovative marketing strategies throughout his career. His leadership roles have consistently emphasized scalable growth strategies and profound market engagement, making him a pivotal addition to the Motilal Oswal team.
