With over two decades of progressive experience in human resources, organizational development, and leadership strategy, Chala’s promotion underscores Allnorth’s continued commitment to fostering innovation, inclusion, and people-driven transformation.

Chala has been part of Allnorth Consultants Limited for more than four years, most recently serving as Director of Human Resources. In this role, she led the human capital strategy in alignment with Allnorth’s rapid business growth, guiding a team of HR professionals in areas such as talent acquisition, learning and development, and organizational culture. Her leadership was instrumental in cultivating an environment of collaboration, safety leadership, and inclusion — critical during periods of expansion and change.

Before joining Allnorth, Chala built a distinguished 21-year career at Teck Resources Limited, one of Canada’s leading mining companies. During her tenure, she held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Advisor, Leadership Development, where she spearheaded leadership programs across all levels, from front-line to senior executives. She also led major transformation projects such as the HRIS Transformation initiative, which standardized HR processes across multiple countries. Earlier, as Continuous Improvement Lead and Human Resources Business Partner, she played a key role in operational efficiency, labor relations, and culture transformation within complex unionized environments.

Chala’s long-standing experience at Teck also included positions such as Employee Relations Supervisor, Employee Relations Advisor, and Employee Relations Coordinator, through which she honed her expertise in labor relations, collective bargaining, performance management, and organizational effectiveness. Her career began as a Laboratory Technician at Teck’s Coal Mountain Operations, where she gained foundational experience in the mining and industrial sectors that have since shaped her people-centric leadership style.

Now as Chief Human Resources Officer, Chala is accountable for driving strategic transformation, systems modernization, organizational development, and talent optimization at Allnorth. As part of the executive leadership team, she will continue to embed people and culture at the heart of the company’s growth strategy.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
