Melbourne, Victoria, Australia – October 2024 – Devon Anderson has been appointed as Executive Director of Human Resources at CSL. In this role, Devon will lead HR functions for CSL’s Global Enabling Functions, supporting the company’s focus on operational excellence and innovation. With expertise in HR strategy and global operations, Devon is poised to make a significant impact in aligning people strategies with CSL’s global mission.
Devon has been with CSL for over eight years, most recently as Senior Director of Human Resources for Global Operations at CSL Seqirus, where he successfully aligned HR strategy with operational goals for global manufacturing sites across the UK, Australia, and the USA. Prior to this, Devon served as Global Human Resources Director for CSL R&D, where he managed HR programs and initiatives supporting CSL’s research and development functions. His role was critical in developing talent management, workforce planning, and capability development strategies to drive the growth of CSL’s R&D operations globally.

Before joining CSL, Devon worked at Rio Tinto as HR Transformation Programme Business Lead, where he played a key role in the design and implementation of a new HR delivery model that enhanced service delivery and reduced global HR costs. This position saw Devon working closely with senior leadership, contributing to strategic HR transformation and organizational design efforts.
Prior to his transformation role, Devon served as HR Business Partner at Rio Tinto, supporting functions such as Technology and Innovation, Group Audit & Assurance, and Economics & Markets. He provided critical HR insights and strategies to align HR with the organization’s objectives, further strengthening Rio Tinto’s workforce capabilities. Additionally, Devon held the position of Principal Advisor for Corporate Functions and Rio Tinto Marine, offering HR leadership across diverse business units and regions.
Earlier in his career, Devon held HR leadership roles at King & Wood Mallesons, CGU Insurance, and Westar Pty Ltd, where he built a strong foundation in HR development, consulting, and advisory services. His early career experience spans various industries and global markets, enriching his perspective and effectiveness as an HR leader.
