Dilip Pattanayak Appointed as President – Group HR at RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group

Kolkata, West Bengal, India, August 2025 – Dilip Pattanayak has joined the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group as President – Group HR. In his new role, Dilip will lead the Group’s HR vision and strategy across its diverse business verticals, strengthening the people agenda and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Prior to joining RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, Dilip served as President & Group CHRO at JSW for over five years. At JSW, he played a pivotal role in driving the Group’s human capital transformation and people strategy across its multiple business verticals in steel, energy, infrastructure, and cement.

Before that, Dilip was with Reliance Industries Limited as Senior Executive Vice President & Head – HR Manufacturing, where he led HR operations for the manufacturing verticals and contributed to workforce development and productivity initiatives.

He earlier served as Senior Vice President & Head of Human Resources at Hindustan Zinc Limited, where he shaped talent strategies and organizational effectiveness programs aligned with the company’s mining and smelting operations.

Dilip also held multiple senior HR leadership roles at Reliance Industries Limited, including VP & Head – HR Manufacturing Cluster, and prior to that served as Vice President (HR) at Vedanta Limited, where he spent over eight years managing large-scale HR operations across business units.

He began his career with early HR roles at Larsen & Toubro, Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited, and Siemens, gaining exposure across HR domains in engineering and petrochemical industries. With nearly three decades of experience, Dilip brings deep expertise in talent strategy, industrial relations, workforce transformation, and HR leadership at scale.
