Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2025 – Dipesh Shah has joined Havells India Ltd. as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & President of the Havells Research & Innovation (CRI), reinforcing the company’s technology-driven innovation strategy. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in embedded systems, AI, and wireless communications, he will spearhead R&D initiatives to develop intelligent, high-performance consumer products. His leadership is expected to accelerate Havells’ R&D investments and drive indigenous technology development for global markets.
Prior to joining Havells, Dipesh Shah held pivotal roles at Samsung Electronics, where he led Samsung’s largest Software R&D Center outside Korea. He played a critical role in advancing AI-powered consumer experiences and next-gen technology solutions. Under his leadership, Havells’ CRI centers in Bengaluru and Noida will focus on developing sustainable, AI-integrated, and IoT-enabled home appliances, pushing the boundaries of smart home innovation.
Dipesh Shah brings extensive expertise in consumer technology, embedded systems, and AI. Before joining Havells India Ltd., he was Corporate Executive Vice President and Managing Director at Samsung R&D Institute India – Bangalore, where he led consumer device experiences and business strategy for India. Over his 31-year tenure at Samsung, he progressed from Software Engineer to Head of Organization, overseeing technological advancements in AI, 5G, and consumer electronics.
He also held the position of Corporate VP and Managing Director at Samsung R&D Institute India, driving strategic product innovations and software engineering breakthroughs. Additionally, he played a key role in enhancing India’s consumer experience and business strategy for Samsung India. His expertise in 3GPP, embedded systems, and AI-based solutions has contributed to the evolution of next-generation connected devices.
Dipesh Shah holds a Postgraduate degree in Software Enterprise Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). He also earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University. His academic foundation in technology management and engineering innovation has been instrumental in his leadership in research and development.
