Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States, April 2025 – Doug Bellah has been promoted to Senior Director, Talent Management at The E.W. Scripps Company, where he will now lead enterprise-wide strategies focused on shaping a future-ready, agile workforce. In his elevated role, Doug will oversee the company’s transition toward a skills-based organization, integrating talent development, internal mobility, and succession planning with skills intelligence and business strategy.
Doug has been a key part of The E.W. Scripps Company for the past five years. Prior to his promotion, he served as Talent Management Partner, where he led performance and career development initiatives across the organization. His efforts included designing inclusive development content, revamping the talent review process, and facilitating strategic workshops that strengthened organizational culture and capability.
Before that, Doug was Human Resources Director at Scripps, driving talent engagement, building executive leadership programs, and launching the company’s first DEIB Committee. His prior roles include impactful HR leadership positions at Knape & Vogt, The Home Depot, and Sears, where he honed his expertise in organizational development, leadership training, and employee experience transformation.
He is also the founder of Douglas Bellah Consulting, where he advises clients on psychological safety, communication strategy, and meeting effectiveness. Doug holds a Doctorate in Organization Development and Change from Bowling Green State University, where he also served as an Adjunct Professor.
