Munich, Germany, September 2024 – Dr. Rebecca Koch has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Nemetschek Group. In this role, Dr. Koch will lead the company’s people strategy during a pivotal transformation phase, focusing on fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. She will play a key role in guiding the organization towards its goal of becoming an ethically responsible, AI-driven leader in its industry.
Dr. Koch’s most recent role was as Chief People Officer Europe at DB Schenker for approximately 3 years. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing HR functions for up to 50,000 employees across 42 countries. Her work included implementing global HR strategies and digitalization initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency and agility.
Before DB Schenker, Dr. Koch served as Senior Director Talent & Culture for Greater Asia at BD for about 3 years. She managed HR strategies for over 10,000 employees across more than 30 locations, driving talent acquisition, leadership development, and organizational change. She also played a significant role in integrating talent following BD’s acquisition of C.R. Bard.
Dr. Koch was the HR Director for Central & Eastern Europe and HR Business Partner at BD for around 3 years. She was responsible for HR operations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, and Israel, including strategy development, talent management, and cultural change. She also led several HR due diligences and M&A activities in Central Europe.
Prior to BD, Dr. Koch worked as HR Director Germany at CareFusion (now part of Becton Dickinson) for approximately 1 year. She managed HR for 800 employees across five locations in Germany, led M&A activities, and introduced new HR systems, significantly improving efficiency in recruiting and talent management.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Koch was the Vice President Training & Development at airberlin for about 1.5 years. She developed the global talent strategy for 12,000 employees, managed the airberlin academy, and led HR restructuring initiatives. Her role also involved overseeing technical training and regulatory compliance as an Accountable Manager Part-147.
