Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, September 2025 – Adani New Industries Limited (Adani Group) has appointed Dr. Samir Mishra as Chief People Officer – BESS, GH2 & Electrolyzer. In this leadership role, Dr. Mishra will be responsible for driving people strategy, talent development, and organizational effectiveness as Adani accelerates its expansion into renewable energy and green hydrogen.
Dr. Mishra most recently served as Head of HR at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, where he led HR strategy, talent practices, corporate-campus partnerships, and initiatives for community engagement and sustainability. He played a key role in transitioning Jaipur International Airport from AAI to Adani management, building organizational capability and fostering a collaborative work culture.
Previously, he was HR Business Partner at Mumbai International Airport Ltd. (CSMIA), managing HR operations for over 1,300 employees and 500 associates. His portfolio included talent acquisition, succession planning, employee lifecycle management, and leadership development programs to align HR with organizational transformation goals.
Before this, he worked as Lead – C&B, Talent Management and Corporate HRBP at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, where he managed a HR budget of ₹700 crore, compensation restructuring for leadership, and strategic HR due diligence during airport acquisitions. He played a central role in developing reward strategies, policy integration, and HR analytics frameworks.
Dr. Mishra began his HR leadership journey with Tata Power, where he held multiple roles including Group Head BHR – Services Business and HR Manager – Corporate IR & Campus Hiring. He spearheaded initiatives in talent mobility, HR due diligence, industrial relations, and compensation frameworks across international and domestic projects. His early experiences also include talent acquisition roles at Essar and HSBC, alongside internships at United Breweries and leadership projects in campus hiring and industrial relations.
Dr. Mishra holds a PhD in Human Resources Management from Sri Balaji University, Pune, an MBA in Human Resources Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and advanced HR certifications, including PGPEX from IIM Calcutta and PGCHRM from XLRI Jamshedpur.
