Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2024 – Dr. Sanika Kerkar has joined Sanofi as the new Global People Business Partner – Business Operations (Medical & Events / Manufacturing & Supply). Dr. Kerkar brings over 15 years of extensive experience in human resources and strategic leadership to this new role, ready to enhance HR functions across multiple regions.
Dr. Sanika Kerkar has been with Sanofi for five years. Prior to her current role, she served as the People & Culture Business Partner (Head HR) – Sanofi Global Hub for over a year, leading HR strategies and operations in a hybrid setup based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her responsibilities included talent management, performance, and leadership building for Sanofi, South Asia, and driving strategic initiatives across the region.
Before that, she was responsible for Talent Management – South Asia for nearly four years, focusing on performance and leadership development and implementing strategic talent management initiatives.
At Teva Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Kerkar worked for over three years, where she served as the HR Business Partner – R&D (Head HR). She drove HR strategy and operations for a workforce of 650 employees across multiple businesses and sites, fostering a culture of performance, fairness, and engagement.
Earlier, she held the position of Associate Director – Talent, Performance & Leadership, where she was responsible for driving talent management, performance, leadership development, and engagement strategies for Teva, India.
Dr. Kerkar held various roles at ACC Limited, including Deputy General Manager – L&D, Talent Management & Employee Engagement and Chief Manager – Learning & Development. She was instrumental in creating a learning organization, developing on-the-job training programs, and implementing coaching methodologies.
At RPG Life Sciences Ltd., Dr. Kerkar served as the Head – Talent Acquisition/ Employer Branding, where she led talent acquisition and employer branding initiatives, built teams across various therapy areas, and developed robust induction methodologies.
As an Associate – Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Lifesciences at ABC Consultants, Dr. Kerkar was responsible for closing middle and senior-level vacancies in domestic markets and supporting the buildup of international databases.
