Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, March 2026 — Recursion has announced that Dr. Vicki Goodman will join the company as Chief Medical Officer, starting April 6. The appointment strengthens Recursion’s clinical and development leadership as it advances its pipeline and continues building differentiated medicines for patients.
Recursion said Dr. Goodman brings the expertise and perspective needed for the company’s next phase, with a highly differentiated background spanning drug development, regulatory strategy, and organizational leadership. Her ability to translate scientific insights into high-quality clinical programs and navigate complex regulatory and development decisions is expected to support Recursion’s focus on accelerating pipeline execution and delivering outcomes for patients.
Most recently, Dr. Vicki Goodman served as Chief Medical Officer at Mural Oncology, where she helped build development capabilities and advance a multi-asset portfolio. Prior to that, she was EVP and Chief Medical Officer at Exelixis, leading medical and clinical development strategy across the organization.
Earlier, she served at Merck as Vice President, Therapeutic Area Head – Oncology Late Stage Development, contributing to late-stage oncology development leadership. Before Merck, she spent multiple years at Bristol Myers Squibb as Vice President, where she contributed to clinical and development leadership across oncology programs.
Her career also includes a long tenure at GSK (GlaxoSmithKline), where she served as a Medicine Development Leader and earlier as Director, Clinical Development, building deep experience across clinical development and program leadership.
Dr. Goodman began her career as a Medical Officer at the U.S. FDA in Silver Spring, Maryland, strengthening her foundation in regulatory decision-making and evidence-based development.
