Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, January 2025 – H.G. Infra Engineering Limited (HGIEL) has announced the appointment of Dr. Yashpal Soni as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). With extensive expertise in IT transformation, Dr. Soni will oversee the company’s digital strategy and technological advancements to align with its business objectives. His focus will be on implementing cutting-edge technologies like SAP S/4 HANA, AI, IoT, and drones to optimize operations, alongside developing data lakes and leveraging advanced analytics tools to enhance decision-making processes.
Dr. Soni most recently served as CIO/CISO at Digital India Corporation, where he led digital transformation initiatives, enabled emerging technologies, and ensured compliance with information security standards. During his five-and-a-half-year tenure, he implemented ERP solutions and improved operational efficiency across various projects.
Before that, he held the position of Chief Information Officer at Intex Technologies (India) Ltd., where he successfully extended SAP footprints nationally and internationally, managed a 60,000+ dealer network, and integrated mobility and IoT solutions into business operations.
Dr. Soni’s tenure as Vice President – Business Excellence and IT at Khaitan Group of Industries and Assistant Executive Director – ISM at Dalmia Bharat Group further established his reputation as a transformative IT leader, implementing advanced technologies like RFID systems, vehicle tracking, and CRM solutions for enhanced logistics and customer management.
Earlier in his career, he served as CIO at Everest Industries Limited and Head-IT at Secure Meters Limited, where he implemented large-scale ERP systems, optimized data centers, and drove process standardization to align IT strategies with business goals.
