Stockholm, Sweden, March 2026 — Electrolux Group has announced the appointment of Joaquin Garcia as Global Head of Design, strengthening the company’s global design leadership as it continues to elevate consumer experiences across taste, care, and wellbeing—anchored in innovation and sustainability.
In his new role, Garcia will lead the global design direction for Electrolux Group, shaping the future of product design across the company’s portfolio of household appliance brands and guiding how design supports both user-centric performance and long-term sustainability goals.
At Electrolux Group, Garcia steps into the position of Global Head of Design following a senior leadership journey across automotive and product design ecosystems, with extensive experience in building design teams, defining brand identity, and driving design strategy at scale.
Before joining Electrolux Group, he served as Head of Design at Italdesign, where he led design direction across projects and strengthened the studio’s creative and strategic output.
He previously held the role of Head of Studio at NIO, contributing to studio leadership and design execution within a high-growth mobility environment, after working as a Brand & Design Advisor in a freelance capacity.
Earlier, Garcia served as Head of Exterior Design at CUPRA, alongside a long tenure at SEAT, S.A. as Head of Exterior Design, where he played a key role in defining exterior design language and driving brand-led design consistency over multiple years.
Across earlier phases of his career, he held design roles with ŠKODA AUTO a.s. as Design Coordinator, co-founded Estudio Miñarro García, and worked with Fuore Design Intl., Ford Motor Company, and Renault, building deep expertise across exterior and interior design disciplines in multiple European markets.
