Kuwait, March 2025 – Emad Al-Ablani has been appointed as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at National Bank of Kuwait (NBK). In his new role, he will oversee NBK’s global human resources strategy, driving workforce development, talent acquisition, and HR transformation to support the bank’s continued growth and leadership in the financial sector.
Al-Ablani has been with National Bank of Kuwait for over 14 years, holding several key leadership positions in the HR function. Prior to his new role, he served as General Manager, Group Human Resources for over 10 years, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s HR strategy, strengthening workforce engagement, and driving leadership development initiatives.
Before that, he was Head of Group Human Resources for nearly four years, where he led organizational development and talent management efforts across the bank’s operations. He also served as AGM, Head of HR Group, focusing on workforce planning and recruitment strategies that aligned with the bank’s long-term business objectives.
Earlier in his career, Al-Ablani was Head of Recruitment & HR Operations at NBK for nearly seven years, where he was instrumental in modernizing recruitment processes and enhancing HR operational efficiency. He holds an EMBA in Finance from the American University of Beirut and has completed the General Management Program (GMP 22) at Harvard Business School, equipping him with expertise in leadership, strategy, and organizational innovation.
