Houston, Texas, United States, June 2025 – SmartVault has announced the appointment of Korie Payne as its new Vice President of People & Culture. In this leadership role, Korie is tasked with developing and executing People & Culture strategies aligned with SmartVault’s business objectives, partnering closely with the Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) and leadership teams. She will spearhead talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and total rewards, playing a critical role in scaling the company’s workforce as it continues its strong growth trajectory.
Prior to joining SmartVault, Korie was Head of Human Resources at Mavely, where she served as a strategic adviser to the CEO and leadership team on all aspects of talent, culture, and organizational performance. Her efforts resulted in the implementation of HR best practices, robust analytics, learning initiatives, and compensation programs supporting high-potential talent recruitment and retention.
Earlier, Korie spent nearly six years at Fashion Nova, rising to Senior Human Resources Business Partner and Director. In this role, she guided department heads across retail, customer care, and corporate divisions, led organizational design projects, managed investigations, compliance, and conflict resolution, and played a key part in launching major talent and engagement initiatives.
Her previous experience includes Senior Human Resources Manager at Global Brands Group, supporting renowned brands such as BCBG MaxAzria, Herve Leger, Bebe, and Juicy Couture, and Human Resources Generalist at Enterprise Mobility, where she oversaw full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations for the Houston region.
Korie holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, underscoring her commitment to advancing people strategy and organizational effectiveness.
